A movie trailer analysis led the studio to leverage the Academy Award winning director of the movie in promotions which significantly raised the anticipation level of the movie
- Business Challenge: A movie studio wanted to gauge the reception of trailer of one of its movies. The intent was to understand what people liked and disliked in the trailer, how they perceive the movie based on the trailer, what is the anticipation level of the movie overall and among different quadrants and geographies.
- Business Result: The study revealed key factors driving positivity and negativity around the movie. An important finding was that the key driving factor for the movie was Academy Award winning director who had positive appeal across quadrants. Using benchmarking data from other movies in the genre, we were able to accurately project current anticipation level of the movie eight months before the movie release.
Identified and defined “tattoos and piercing enthusiasts” as a key segment for a TV series which helped the television network develop targeted engagement strategy for the segment
- Business Challenge: A television network wanted to identify the core target segments for their new TV series. The network believed that the series will appeal to younger audience but wanted to identify niche segments which they can engage early with the series.
- Business Result: Segmentation study identified three distinct segments, including tattoos and piercing enthusiasts as a core segment that will have affinity towards the series. Based on our recommendation, the client developed a communication strategy for people into tattoos and piercing by engaging popular tattoo artists and shops. This helped improve awareness of the target segment and increased their engagement with the series.
